Basics: Media That Can Be Used On The Gelli Arts® Plate - Part 2

Hi everyone and welcome to the Gelli Arts® blog!

It’s Birgit here today with another “Basics” video.

Today, it’s part 2 of the variety of permanent products that you can use on the gel plate.

Although most people start out with acrylic paint there are numerous media that can be used on the gel plate.

In this video I show you how to use acrylic paint markers, alcohol- and solvent based markers, alcohol inks and blenders.

The steps show how to apply these products but just as important, how to pull the prints.

Different than with wet products, like acrylic paint, you need a second medium to let the plate release the dried product.

Got curious? Then check out the video and play!

This video is only covering a small part of the products you can use. Last month, in part 1 of permanent products I showed how to use pastels, eye shadow, solvent-, die- and pigment inks and combinations. So if you missed it, check it out. And also make sure to come back next month for part 3!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Happy printing!

Birgit

  1. Is it possible to use Pebeo Fantasy paints with the Gelli plate ? I would think you could get some amazing effects if so
